The Best 30th Birthday Gifts

I celebrated my 30th birthday in New Zealand. Shortly before we embarked on our holiday to the wine regions of NZ I found out I was pregnant with my first child (yay!). So, no wine tasting for me (boo!). When we returned from New Zealand, the celebrations continued with a lovely dinner with friends at a restaurant in Melbourne, a short distance from the apartment we were living in at the time. After dinner, we walked home and I think I was tucked up in bed by 10pm – a far cry from my 21st! Suffice to say, life is constantly changing as we move through different seasons and chapters.

30 is a great age. By the age of 30 we’ve generally had more life experience with different jobs, partners, friends, and lived in or travelled to different places. Often people are feeling more settled, although not always, and that’s totally ok too.
